To the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory: The exhibition “Faces of Victory” in Arkhangelsk

More than 120 photographs of the war years of personal photo albums and archive of the Arkhangelsk regional TV are presented at the exhibition "Faces of Victory" at the Museum of Fine Arts (Arkhangelsk), which opens on March 1, 2015.

This is a joint project of the state museum association "Art Culture of the Russian North" and the information and educational center "The State Russian Museum: the Virtual Branch".

The exhibition "Faces of Victory" is a sincere story of Arkhangelsk residents of their loved ones.

The exposition also features unique cameras of wartime from private collection of Paul Pastushenko.

Visitors will be able to see the videos "Victory Day 1945", "Arkhangelsk - City of Military Glory", "Fleet Admiral N. G. Kuznetsov", "Let’s read the book of the siege", to see the documentary film "The Siege of Leningrad", to see a virtual photo album "Faces Victory".

The exhibition is opening as part of the museum project "Dedicated to the Great Victory…". A great program of events includes museum exhibitions "The Great Patriotic War. Glimpse of the 2000s" and "In the book memory are moments of war", virtual exhibition "Saints Patrons of the Russian army", contest "Courage. Prowess. Glory", a musical evening in the living room, lectures, discussions, meetings, tours and interactive classes, watching movies, cultural action "Victory Night" and more.
