To the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory: The exhibition “When war came to our house” in Tula

The Military History Museum of the Tula region opened an exhibition "When war came to our house".

Through the personal story of Tula family on authentic items wartime the exhibition reveals not only the heroic defense of Tula, but also the daily life of Tula during the war: the work of industrial enterprises, mines, cultural institutions, hospitals, schools, churches, the Suvorov Military School.

The exhibition also presents objects of "military archeology", genuine and reconstructed clothing, medical instruments of military hospitals, documents and photographs.

"When was came to our house" is the third in a series of exhibitions of the Museum of Military History of the Tula region, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The cycle includes an exhibition "Victory Books" introducing viewers to the editions printed in the Great Patriotic War, and the exhibition "With faith in victory, with a prayer in my heart", illustrating a little-known patriotic activity of the Tula diocese during the Great Patriotic War.

The exhibition will run until the end of June 2015.
