
To the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory: The exhibition “Bread. War. Victory” in Saint-Petersburg
April 15, 2015 in the Saint-Petersburg Museum of Bread is opened the exhibition “Bread. War. Victory”, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the great Victory as part of the citywide project “Ordered to Survive!”.
The centerpiece of the exposition is the work of bakeries during the blockade period. Among the exhibits of the complex are notes on the technology of baking during the blockade, albums with photographs of the workers of bakeries, notebook of the senior technologist of the Central laboratory of Trust bakery, baking dish, evacuation certificates, documents of the structure of the blockaded bread.
Documents of the thematic complex “Price of Victory in rubles: commodity-money relations in the blockaded city” open a well forgotten chapter of the history of the blockade, telling of the legendary 125 grams of bread. Money of citizens was stored in urban saving banks, according to the materials of the Museum of history of Sberbank.
Life-affirming note is photographs provided by the Museum of History of the Palace of Youth Creativity and telling us that even in the most difficult months of life in the city worked circles, created ensembles, arranged children's parties.
