Memory of Russia: Photographs taken in the city on May 9, 1945 are presented in the streets of Arkhangelsk
From April 15, 2015 in the streets of Arkhangelsk will be available photographs taken in the city on May 9, 1945.
The social-patriotic action “Stop!” is organized as part of the historical and patriotic project of the Arkhangelsk Regional Museum “From Victory – to Victory”.
The unique collection of photographs of N. V. Kushnevsky from the collection of the museum is decorated with posters and banners, installed at public transport stops and promotional pavilions. The images are accompanied with quotes of witnesses of historical events from rare archival documents.
The full version of photo chronicle is presented in the exposition “Everything for the Front, everything for Victory”, in exhibition halls of the museum.
“Exposition” in the streets will be presented during the month.
This project will allow citizens feeling the atmosphere of the Great Day, and the museum – more widely present the collections.
