To the birthday of the Runet: The Museum of History and Culture of the Middle Kama region is presented in the virtual space

7 April 2015

April 7 marks the birthday of Runet. It was on this day in 1994, when Russia registered in the international database its national top-level domain .RU and became a state, enabled the World Wide Web. Since then, the Russians can roam the Internet, using the Russian language. Interesting fact, the term "Runet" was introduced in 1997 by Raffi Aslambekov, and for the first time in the Russian Internet Day celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2004.

The pearl of the historical heritage of Udmurtia is the Museum of History and Culture of the Middle Kama region (Sarapul, Udmurtia). Exhibits presented in exhibitions and carefully stored in museum funds cover the entire history of the country and the edges of the parking area of the first settlers to the present day. The museum is actively developing new information technologies.

From January 2012 at the Museum of History and Culture of the Middle Kama region there was an official representative of the World Wide Web: www.museumsarapul.ru or http://музейсарапул.рф. All activities of the Museum - from scientific and stock to advertising - are reflected in the pages of the website.

Since April 2012 the Museum of History and Culture of the Middle Kama region offers visitors a new service: to provide further information on exhibitions, events and other events on a mobile phone. QR-code with a link to the official website of the museum is housed in a common poster of museum activities.

The Sarapulsky Museum is interested in attracting the attention of a mass audience for their projects, exhibitions, collections, events. One solution to this problem is to promote the brand of the Museum in social networks.

In December 2013 is launched the service "Yandex.Widgets", referred to as "The Sarapulsky Museum" (http://www.yandex.ru/?add=150558&from=shared).
