History of Russia: The World War II Awards are presented at the exhibition in the Moscow Kremlin

April 7, 2015 in the Front Halls of the Moscow Kremlin Armors is opened the exhibition “Memory of the Victory. The World War II Awards”. Here are presented awards and medals of the USSR from the collection of the Kremlin Museums, which were awarded to soldiers, sailors and officers for the outstanding courage, generals and admirals for the generalship skills, as well as front workers for the hard work during the Great Patriotic War.

Among the exhibits are eight precious, made of platinum and gold, decorated with diamonds and rubies, orders of Victory, military orders “Red Flag”, “Red Star”. A separate part of the exposition is dedicated to medals, with which were awarded not only soldiers but also civilians.  The labor of Soviet people during the war was marked with the rank Hero of Socialists Labor, the Lenin order, medals “For Labor”, “For labor Valor”, “For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945”.

The opening ceremony will be attended by the Minister of Culture of Russia Vladimir Medinsky.
