Russian culture abroad: The festival of Russian culture opened in Hong Kong

In Hong Kong was opened the Festival of Culture which will run until April 12, 2015.

The festival was opened with the concert of Russian horn orchestra with the program “Pipes of Victory”, timed to the 70th celebration of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

“Relations between our countries are based on strong cultural ties, and we are proud to celebrate the comprehensive strengthening of cooperation in recent years. The joint efforts made a lot of work, and the Festival of Russian culture - its result, showing friendship between our peoples!”, - said the Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky welcoming the festival.

The guests of the festival will see the exhibition of photographs of the contest «The Best of Russia» - 2012-2014, the most famous play of S. V. Obraztsov Puppet Theatre “Unusual concert”, as well as Russian dances by the M. Gordenko State Academic Dance Ensemble.

The festival organizers – the Ministry of Culture of Russia the Ministry of Leisure and Culture of Hong Kong and the General Consulate of the Russian Federation in Special Administrative District of Hong Kong Chinese People’s Republic Vladimir Kalinin.
