Memory of Russia: A monument to Dmitry Shostakovich is opened in Moscow

 A monument dedicated to the composer Dmitry Shostakovich was opened in Moscow on May 28, 2015. The opening ceremony took place at the festival titled "Sweet Cherry Forrest." The sculpture of the outstanding Russian musician graced an area at the main entrance to the International House of Music. The bronze figure of sitting on the bench composer will meet an everyday audience of this popular venue. Sculptor Georgy Frangulyan is an author of the monument.

Installation of the monument dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory and 40th anniversary of the death of Dmitri Shostakovich.
