Archives of Russia: The State Archive’s of the Russian Federation exhibition project on the history of immigration in Moscow

On May 26, 2015, in the Exhibition Hall of the Federal Archives (Moscow) held a presentation of the exhibition project of the State Archive of the Russian Federation titled the "Returned history. Documents on the history of Russian emigration. Recent acquisitions. 2012-2014."

The State Archive of the Russian Federation is the country's largest archive that holds about 7 million cases of unique documents on the history of the state and the socio-political life of the country. The archive holds documents from the collection of former Russian Foreign Historical Archive in Prague and is one of the largest centers of preservation of documents on the history of Russian emigration. Since the beginning of the 1990s the State Archive replenishes its documental riches with new documentary evidences of life of our fellow citizens in foreign countries. This exhibition is a regular report on next in turn acquisition of Russian archival documents that returned from abroad in 2012-2014.
