Memorable dates of Russia: Executive order on celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of choreographer and teacher Marius Petipa

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed Executive order on the Celebrating of the 200th Anniversary of the of Marius Petipa’s Birth."

Given the great significance of M. I. Petipa’s creative work for the national and global culture and in connection with the 200th anniversary of his birth, coming up in 2018, the Government of the Russian Federation has been instructed:

- To form the organizing committee for the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of M. I. Petipa;

- To ensure the development and approval of plan of basic measures for the preparation and celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of M. I. Petipa.

Executive authoritys of subjects of the Russian Federation are advised to participate in the preparation and holding of events, dedicated to the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of M. Petipa.
