History of Saint-Petersburg: The exhibition “We fought Leningrad to the bitter end – peoples of a united country”

In the House of Government of the Leningrad region (St. Petersburg) was introduced a mobile exhibition "We fought Leningrad to the bitter end – the peoples of a united country". The exposition is dedicated to the soldiers of the Great Patriotic War of different nationalities who defended Leningrad.

The exhibition will go on areas of the region and the exposition contains original exhibits and copies of documents from the personal archives of the Great Patriotic War, telling about the heroic participation of representatives of the national republics and regions of the Soviet Union in the defense of Leningrad and the liberation of the Leningrad region from enemy occupation.

Here you can see weapons, uniforms, personal belongings, documents and photographs. The selection of literature exhibition are posters and leaflets of the war time in the languages of the Soviet Union, Soviet-era books about the exploits of soldiers of different nationalities, as well as modern reference publications and memoirs.
