Internet and History: "Immortal Regiment of the Russian World" action was launched on Web

On the eve of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory Russkiy Mir (that means Russian World) Foundation’s partner - the International Council of Russian Compatriots (MSRS) has launched a large-scale project, entitled the "Immortal Regiment of the Russian World." Project goal is to collect as much information as possible about the participants of the Great Patriotic War among Russian compatriots.

MSRS appeals to all veterans, their relatives and friends, including relatives and friends of deceased veterans, with a request to answer the questions of special questionnaire, send any information about veterans’ participation in the Great Patriotic War. All information will be collected at a certain database. In process of adding, the information will be posted on the MSRS Web resources and its partner agencies.

The official website of the International Council of Russian Compatriots at http://www.msrs.ru/ will allow users to search database by query. The access to all information will be open for public. In future, the "Immortal Regiment of the Russian World" reference book will be released in print and electronic formats. Information from the database will be handed to the appropriate government institutions.
