To the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory: Photo exhibition “Remembering the War” in Saint-Petersburg

From 2 to 16 May 2015 in the Museum of Political History of Russia (St. Petersburg) is held a photo exhibition to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory "Remembering the War".

The exhibition explores the anthropological aspects of the war, based on the evidence photos of the Great Patriotic War Museum's collection.

The exhibition features portraits of soldiers - participants major battles, specific photographs from the field of combat operations, the photos taken in the rear, pictures of children who find themselves on the front. Plots of photographers of official gazette served to propaganda purposes; pictures taken directly by participants of the war captured everyday side of the war. Many of the photographs are on display for the first time.
