The Year of Literature in Russia-2015: The exhibition “Station. Literature. Cinema” opened at the Moscow Railway Station in Saint-Petersburg

In the Light Hall of the Moscow Railway Station (St. Petersburg) until July 5, 2015 will run the exhibition “Station. Literature. Cinema”.

The pavilion of the Moscow Railway Station installed a stand with portraits of the heroes of film adaptations of novels of Fyodor Dostoyevsky and Leo Tolstoy. All photos, selected for the exhibition, are combined with a movement of trains.

Railway, opened in Russia in 1837, was not only the fact of Russian life, but also cross-cutting theme in Russian literature. Almost all the writers traveled by rail. In letters, literary texts they convey their impressions, evaluations and descriptions of travels.
