Memory of Russia: The 70th anniversary of the Victory Day Parade 1945

June 24, 2015 marks the 70th anniversary of the legendary Red Square Victory Parade of the Soviet army in commemoration of the victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

Public Relations Committee of Moscow, together with the Regional Public Organization Parade participants on June 24, 1945 carries out memorable events.

The ceremony of laying wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander Garden, to the monument to Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy K. Zhukov, graves of military leaders, prominent statesmen and political leaders at the Kremlin wall took place.

In the Hall of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior is held a central event with the participation of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill - a meeting of veterans, participants of the Victory Parade, and the youth of the capital.

Celebrations dedicated to the Victory Parade on June 24, 1945, have become a tradition and are held since 1995, i. e., the 50th anniversary of the Victory.

In Moscow is running the Regional NGO of participants of the Victory Parade on June 24, 1945. Currently, the organization is in the ranks of 211 people aged 82 to 97 years. Among them: 7 Heroes of the Soviet Union, 8 Parade participants in 1941, 26 cadets, 22 veterans were awarded the medal "For Defense of Moscow".
