Internet and museums: The virtual Museum of Architecture launched in Samara

The regional department of the Union of artists launched a virtual Museum of Samara Architecture. The website features several dozens of monuments – photographs, descriptions, link to the map. The resource is in beta mode and will be updated over time.

The website, which houses the Museum, will run as the information portal of the Union of architects. It will publish information about events, related to activities of the organization, including announcements of events in the House of Architect.

According to the curator of the project Anastasia Pavlova, the virtual exposition shows the main milestones of the local architectural school on the example of the most iconic buildings, built in the XIX, XX and XXI centuries, as well as the vector of its development on the example of modern projects.

Curators of the project are ready to publish photo archives, articles and interesting facts of buildings, provided by users.
