From June 17-21, 2015 in cities of Simferopol and Alushta (Republic of Crimea) took place the All-Russian Scientific-Practical conference “The Great Patriotic war and the cultural heritage of Russia”, organized by the State budget institution of the Republic of Crimea “The Central Museum of Tauride” together with the State Central Museum of Modern History of Russia, Moscow.

The conference was attended by scientists of universities of Crimea, representatives of the museum community of leading museums of the country, specialists of archives and libraries.

The conference opened with a presentation of the exhibition “Posters of Victory” from the funds of the State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia and the Central Museum of Tauride. Residents and guests of Crimea were first presented 60 original posters, published in 1941-1945, including, along with the famous “textbook”, presented many rare. Of great interest are the paintings from the collections of the Central Museum of Tauride by author Mikhail Shcheglov, whose life is connected with Simferopol. Exhibits, showing all sides of the war years, provide an opportunity to experience the scale of the tragedy and heroism generation that saved the world from fascism, the generation of victors who brought peace to the long-suffering land of our country.
