Information technology and libraries: The XIV International conference “Corporate library systems: technology and innovations” in Saint-Petersburg and Istanbul

June 22-28, 2015 in Saint-Petersburg and Istanbul (Turkey) is held the XIV International Scientific and Practical conference and exhibition “Corporate library systems: technology and innovations”. Traditionally the conference will be the forum to discuss issues, significant to all libraries of the country. The main attention will be paid to those modern information and communication technology, corporate interaction and innovative forms of the work.

The proprieties of the conference 2015 will be the following topics:

• new technology of search for information resources of the libraries;

• Discovery Service – the first results of the implementation applicable technology and solutions;

• resources of the projects ARBIKON as the element of information space of libraries, new approaches to the integration;

• ALIS of new generation: what is the novelty?

• information sites of libraries: what does the user want?

• internal, corporate and external FBS – tendencies of development;

• regional electronic libraries – concepts of creation and practical experience;

• electronic resources: technology of the digitization, registration of electronic resources and databases, usage statistics, training of the staff and users, legal issues.

The conference program consists of two parts: the main program will be held in St. Petersburg on 22 and 23 June, more - in Istanbul from 24 to 28 June. The main program includes sessions, round tables and sections on the themes of the conference, the exhibition will be also held. Additional program will be held at the University of Istanbul, and other public and university libraries in Turkey.
