Memory of Russia: The exhibition, timed to the 250th anniversary of the death of M. V. Lomonosov, in Tambov

At the end of April 2015 marked the 250th anniversary of the death of Mikhail Lomonosov (1711-1765), the first Russian scholar and scientist of world importance, artist, historian, advocate the development of national education and science, the poet, who laid the foundations of the modern Russian literary language.

Scientific and literary heritage of the great scientist and writer is unusually interesting and diverse. His works on linguistics and literature, carefully stored in the department of rare books of the Pushkin Tambov Oblast Universal Scientific Library are particularly close. The most interesting of them are represented at the exhibition "M. V. Lomonosov in Russian linguistics and literature", prepared by staff of the department.

The centerpiece of the exhibition is devoted to one of the volumes "Complete Works of Mikhail Vasilieivch Lomonosov, a communion of life writer…" in 6 parts, published in St. Petersburg in 1784-1787, respectively. The exposition also contains works of M. V. Lomonosov issued later.

Of particular interest are books about the life and work of M. V. Lomonosov of different years of publication, also presented at the exhibition. These are works - studies of famous domestic authors.
