Website of the fundamental encyclopedia and cultural project aimed at promoting the Russian avant-garde is released at http://rusavangard.ru. It contains complete information about the publication and related to this news and events, and it regularly publishes the articles about everything that is connected with the Russian avant-garde.
The website deals with an amount of practical tasks — the name index to the Encyclopedia, which its compilers decided to release in electronic form, is available online. In fact, it is a separate, more than 170 pages volume, complementing the Encyclopedia and allowing industry professionals to efficiently use it in theirs work. Name directory also useful for nonprofessionals because it allows users to find demanded names around the array of information provided in the Encyclopedia quickly.
There is another important document on the website — a list of corrections. Since the release of 1-2 volumes of Encyclopedia of Russian Avant-garde in 2013 and the third volume (in 2 books) in 2014, information about all the inaccuracies found in the publication were meticulously collecting and adding in the list, which is now available online.
According to the compiler of the Encyclopedia of Russian Avant-garde Andrew Sarabyanov, History of Art PhD, the website is extremely important for the publication, which was setting up during more than 15 years and brought together 238 Russian and foreign experts on the Russian avant-garde.
Encyclopedia of Russian Avant-garde is a fundamental issue and a cultural project aimed at promoting the Russian avant-garde. Work on the Encyclopedia took more than 15 years. The result of this big work is a release of 3-volume encyclopedia containing more than 1,200 encyclopedic articles, about 4,000 illustrations, 238 authors and 88 art museums-partners.
