International events: The "70 Years since the end of the World War II" Russian-German 2015-2016 Year Opens in Moscow

The opening ceremony of the Russian-German 2015-2016 Year entitled the "70 Years since the End of the World War II: Youth Exchange — Understanding - Common Future" will be held on June 5, 2015, in the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War (Moscow).

Over 70 representatives from the partner youth organizations and partner schools from Germany and Russia, realizing the Russian-German exchange projects in the field of preserving the memory of the Great Patriotic War and World War II, or the institutions, which are interested in such projects, will attend the events of the theme year of 2015-2016. The objectives of the activities during the theme year will be the development and implementation of bilateral projects in the field of preservation of the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War and the Second World War, as well as the strengthening of existing and creating new partnership relations in the framework of the Russian-German Youth Cooperation.
