Society and Culture: The "Contemporary Art as an Important Factor in the Development of Russian Culture" symposium in Nizhny Novgorod

The "Contemporary Art as an Important Factor in the Development of Russian Culture" will take palace on June 5-6, 2015, in the Volga-Vyatka Branch of the State Center for Contemporary Art in Nizhny Novgorod.

Invited are the leading figures of culture and art from various Russian regions and the representatives of the diplomatic corps.

Goals and objectives of the symposium:

— Identification of the main positions of development strategies and programs of contemporary art in Russia in the context of the Fundamentals of State Cultural Policy;

— Development of the proposals of improvement of the system of state support for contemporary art.
