Information technology and libraries: "Library in the Digital Ambiance — Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow..." scientific and practical conference in Tver

"Library in the Digital Ambiance — Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow..." Interregional Scientific and Practical Conference, timed to the 155th anniversary of the Tver Public Library, takes place on June 2-3, 2015, in Tver Regional Universal Scientific Library named after A. M. Gorky.

The conference is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Russian Library Association and the Committee on Cultural Affairs of the Tver Region.

The representatives of the federal libraries in Moscow and St. Petersburg, the libraries of central regions of Russia, the libraries of different systems and departments of the Tver Region, leading aggregators of electronic library systems (ELS) are attending the conference. In the conference’s agenda are the discussions on topical issues of the development of libraries, on history, current state and prospects of development of regional and inter-corporate library systems, including the formation of a regional segment of the National Digital Library, on social partnership of the libraries, museums, archives and educational institutions in an advance of electronic resources, and on modern services of remote access to full-text libraries’ collections.

In the agenda of the conference are a plenary session, a meeting of two parallel sections and a solemn event dedicated to the 155th anniversary of the Tver Regional Universal Scientific Library named after A. M. Gorky.
