The organizers of the action "Immortal regiment" plan to create a portal with the memories of contemporaries of the Great Patriotic War, which should become a sort of "Wikipedia" for future generations.

This was told by the head of the regional public patriotic movement "Immortal regiment" Nikolai Zemtsov at the round table "70 Years of Peace: Lessons from the history of war and total victory".

According to Zemtsov, the portal will be called "Immortal regiment of Russia". The website will store and collect family histories and will be part of the materials for the "academic historians".

He added that, according to the plans of the organizers, the portal will become a "big nationwide piggy bank" of memory of the war, which will bring together residents and neighboring countries.
