Memorable dates of Russia: The video bridge, dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the First World War, is running between Moscow and Saint-Petersburg

July 31, 2015 in the building of the Russian Military-Historical Society (Moscow) and the Museum "Russia in the Great War" in the Martial Chamber of the sovereign's (State Museum-Preserve "Tsarskoye Selo", St. Petersburg) is held a briefing dedicated to the memorable date of Russian military history – the 101st anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War. Moscow and St. Petersburg participants will be connected with a video bridge.

Representatives of the State Museum "Tsarskoye Selo" will tell about the creation of the first in the modern Russia Museum, dedicated to the First World War (it was opened in August last year, the centenary anniversary of its beginning), the unique exhibits.

The museum "Russia in the Great War" was opened on August 4, 2014. It is located in the building of the sovereign's Ratna Chamber, conceived by Emperor Nicholas II as a pantheon of military glory. Until now, in modern Russia there was a museum dedicated to this dramatic page of history. The new exposition acquaints visitors with the period, showing the participation and role of Russia in the First World War.

In Moscow, the specialists of the Russian Military-Historical Society will present exhibits of military uniforms of the Great War, which will be part of preparing for the opening of the Museum of Military History, as well as tell about the continuation of the events dedicated to the centenary anniversary of the First World War.
