Society and culture: The presentation of the cultural project “Aivazovsky. 200 years of Triumph” took place in Feodosia

The presentation of the project "Aivazovsky. 200 years of Triumph" was held in the Art Gallery of Ivan Aivazovsky in Feodosia.

Implementing cultural project covers a wide spectrum of activities: conferences, festivals, seminars, large-scale publishing program, issue of media products.

This project provides a two-year start turn of activities to commemorate the world-famous marine painter Ivan Aivazovsky, a member of five European Academy of Arts, philanthropist and public figure, in connection with the upcoming anniversary - July 29, 2017 marks the 200th anniversary of his birth.

The scale of worthy and eminent son of Russia, honorary citizen of his native Feodosia is such that the anniversary is a world cultural event. More than six thousand paintings of the artist are in the leading museums of the world, adorn private collections. The artist himself during his lifetime has become a classic of pictorial art.
