Information technology and museums: The exhibits from the Museum-Reserve “Kolomenskoye” are digitized

 “Electronic Archive” Corporation has completed works on the digitization of more than 7 thousand museum exhibits of the Moscow State Untied Art Historical and Architectural and Natural Landscape Museum-Reserve “Kolomenskoye”. The collections, transmitted into digital form: “Archeology”, “Old Russian painting”, “Decorative-Applied Art” and “Photo-phono-video fund”.

The digitization of museum exhibits with the help of specially equipped on the territory of the museum photo points is implemented with museum objects of any size, complexity and location. Processed files are provided in formats that are compatible with the information system of the museum-reserve.

Currently the shooting of two unique exhibits of the interior – desktop clock by German masters of the XIX century and ancient bureau of the end of the XVIII century, decorated with ivory plates with the image of tsars.

As a result of works into digital form were transmitted archaeological finds from the territory of the museum-reserve belonging to different historical epochs; masterpieces of Russian icon painting of the XVI-XX centuries, photographs of architecture and history of the village of Kolomenskoye. Electronic images of museum objects fill up the information system MGOMZ providing accounting and safety of funds.
