Memorable dates of Russia: Events in honor of the Christianization of Rus’ in the millennium of the death of St. Prince Vladimir held across the country

In honor of the Christianization of Rus’ and the millennium of the death of St. Prince Vladimir, across Russia are held more than 4, 5 church and church social events, said at the press service in Moscow on July 23, 2015.

Among them there are the actual church activities - worship and religious processions and festivals and concerts organized with the participation of regional authorities. From the most interesting may be called mass baptism in the river, which will take place in the Ussuri district of the Primorsky Krai. Musical church-public concert will be held in Ufa and Izhevsk is preparing water-sports festival.

The program includes the main celebrations that are held in Moscow on July 26-28 - Patriarch Kirill consecrated the church in honor of St. Prince Vladimir in the Moscow diocesan house, the Slavic art festival "Russian field" at the Museum-Reserve "Tsaritsyno". On the day of the Christianization of Rus’, July 28, will be held service at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior with the participation of the heads of all 15 local Orthodox churches.
