Memory of Russia: Festival “Days of Memory of Denis Davydov” at Borodino

July 25, 2015 at the Museum-Reserve "Borodino Field" runs an equestrian military-historical festival named after the hero of the Patriotic War of 1812, Denis Davydov. The festival is held on the eve of the birthday of the famous poet and partisan and dedicated to the Year of Literature in Russia.

The interactive site "Hussar camp" will host a demonstration camp of cavalry regiment of the Russian army in 1812.

During performances, guests will see the museum-reserve cavalry battle of "French" and "Russian" in 1812, rebuilt and evolution on horseback, methods of gun ownership.

Literary works of Denis Davydov will be recalled on this day. It will be spoken about during a solemn ceremony on the site of the poet's memory in family the Davydovs homes in Borodino.
