Peoples of Russia: The book-illustrative exposition “History, culture and traditions of the Tatar peoples” in Krasnoyarsk

The State Scientific Library of the Krasnoyarsk Krai within the framework of the celebration of the XV Federal Sabantui - Tatar-Bashkir national holiday, which in 2015 takes the Krasnoyarsk Krai – took place the grand opening of a book-illustrative exposition "History, culture and traditions of the Tatar people". From the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan as a gift to the Krasnoyarsk library 150 books are granted.

The State Scientific Library of Krasnoyarsk Krai showcased more than 300 documents from its collections on the history and traditions of the Tatar people, ethnic features of Tatars of different regions of Russia. The exhibition introduces the scientific and technical achievements of representatives of the Tatar people, fiction and children's literature in the Tatar and Russian languages, literature, books about famous writer of Tatarstan - Gabdulla Tukay and Musa Jalil. Textbooks and dictionaries to help study Tatar language are exhibited. The exhibition features publication of the architectural monuments of Kazan, religious houses of worship, Tatar musicians and painters, theatrical art of Tatarstan.

Among the exhibited rare books - several editions of the Quran, fax deluxe edition of the works of Musa Jalil, historical documents of the XIX century.

A separate section of the exhibition is devoted to the Siberian Tatars, literary work of the Krasnoyarsk writer Roman Solntsev. Photos of Tatar settlements of Krasnoyarsk Krai and holiday "Sabantuy" provided by the Tatar national-cultural autonomy "Yanarysh" are also exhibited.
