Memorable dates of Russia: The Gorky cinema studio celebrates its centenary anniversary with the exhibition of historical costumes

The exhibition of historical costumes and props from the collections of the Gorky studio timed to the centenary of the studio, will be held in Moscow in autumn.

In 2015 the oldest Russian studio celebrates its centenary. Its history started in 1915 with the cinema atelier “Rus’”.

“in honor of the anniversary the studio organizes a number of special events – in particular, the exhibition of historical costumes and props in GUM”, - said Director general Zernov. He said that the unique collection includes about 30 thousand costumes and 18 thousand props of various historical periods.   

In autumn will be also held the exhibition “Stills and films of the M. Gorky Cinema Studio”.
