Memory of Russia: The exhibition “Saint Vladimir – Baptist of Rus’” in Pyatigorsk

The Pyatigorsk Museum of local History until July 28, 2015 hosts the exhibition “St. Vladimir – Baptist of Rus’”. The exhibition is timed to the millennium of the St. Vladimir, during whose reign Rus’ has become the key step of the formation and prosperity of the Orthodox Rus’.  

This exhibition project is designed to acquaint the audience with the early Christian holy places from the collection of the Pyatigorsk Museum of Local History - Russian roadside crosses of the XI century in the North Caucasus, which are a direct indication that 50 years after the baptism in Kiev, Russian Orthodox people appeared on the territory of modern North Caucasus. In addition, the exhibition includes works by pupils of Sunday schools of the Pyatigorsk Deanery, the temple of the Kazan icon of the Mother of God of Yutsa (about 25 children's works, made in different techniques).
