Museums of Russia: The Museum “History of Russia” to be placed in the pavilion at the VDNkH in Moscow

City planning commission of Moscow has approved the project of reconstruction of the pavilion “Hsitory of Russia” at VDNkH.  

Built in 1966 the pavilion № 57 is located on the main avenue VDNkH in the district of Industry. Historically it was used for the inter-industry trade show. During the reconstruction the total area of the building will be increased from 21.6 thousand to 30, 9 thousand square meters without changing the external dimensions.

After completing the reconstruction will be placed the museum “History of Russia”, the basis of which will be the exposition “Orthodox Rus’. The Romanovs and Rurik”, exhibited before in Manezh.
