The Year of Literature in Russia-2015: International forum “Literature of the Russian abroad: Past and Present” to be held in Moscow

October 5-9, 2015 in the framework of the Year of Literature the Alexander Solzhenitsyn House of the Russian Abroad (Moscow) will host an international forum "Russian Literature Abroad: Past and Present".

The forum will include Festival of modern Russian writers from near and far abroad. Participants working in different genres, living abroad, writing and published in Russian are invited. House of Russian abroad provides its platform for exhibitions and presentations of new books, literary readings and presentations, discussion and debate.

Translators working with texts of the classics of literature of Russian emigration (Bunin, Shmelev, Nabokov and Tsvetaeva and others) will talk about their experiences, present new editions, will discuss the problems and peculiarities of literary translation into various languages

7-9 October 2015 will be held International scientific conference "Russian foreign Publishing (XIX-XX centuries)". The conference will be held in four sections: "Ways of development of Russian-speaking exteriorize"; "Publishing in the diaspora and the mother country"; "The Russian-speaking foreign language publishing and cultural environment"; "The financial side of the Russian publishing abroad".
