Russian regions: The monument to Russian soldier opened in the Kaluga region

On the Zaitsev hill of the Kaluga region was opened a new monument to a Russian soldier, which was installed by the Russian military-historical society.
The opening of the monument was timed to the summing results of the search expedition “Western front”, bringing together over 200 search engines from all Russia. Participants of the expedition near the village Zaitsev hill have become remains of 154 soldiers, names of six of them are set.
Earlier, similar memorials have been opened by the Russian military-historical society in the Ryazan, the Penza, the Tambov, the Tver and the Sverdlovsk regions as part of the program to restore and establish uniform monuments to the fallen on the battlefields of the Great Patriotic War.
