Information technology and museums: Virtual museum tells the history of Russian architecture

The Virtual museum of architecture - is a project of the A. V. Shchusev State Museum of Architecture, implemented on the initiative and support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

The architecture as a special kind of art needs in special and modern methods of presentation. Format of the Internet portal-and 3D-tours are new, high-tech and adequate forms of representation of architecture. The history of the individual buildings in the sketches, drawings and models, as well as design materials of unsold buildings, photographs and measured drawings of the lost works allows the viewer visualizing the development of domestic architecture.

In addition, the virtual mode of existence of the museum exhibits (graphics, archival photos) and modern architectural shooting surviving buildings will help a wide range of viewers to see and appreciate the main monuments and achievements of Russian architecture.
