Museums of Russia: Museum center “New Farm” in Peterhof

By the beginning of the new academic year the Museum-Reserve "Peterhof" will open in the park "Alexandria" a modern museum center "New Farm". Site selection is not random - from 1826 to 1917 the park "Alexandria" was a summer resort of the royal family, here grew up, played and studied the tsar’s children. The name of the center is connected with the history of the building: in the XIX century people there really kept cows and treated milk.

Doors of newly reconstructed building of the "New Farm" will be open to guests of all ages. The center, equipped with gaming expositions and workshops, subscription offers classes for preschool and school children for a family audience.

Among the benefits of the Museum Center there is a water piping layout of Peterhof, Alexandria herbarium, a bestiary Peterhof, game room and even a historic theater buffet. All meetings take place in an interactive form, allowing children involve in the process of living knowledge. One of the objectives of the center of the "New Farm" - the revival of family traditions: reading aloud, learning games, a home theater.

The center starts working on September 5, 2015.
