History of Russia: Exhibitions “State symbols of Russia” and “Contemporaries of war” in Ulyanovsk

August 22, 2015 in Ulyanovsk as part of the Open city festival of creativity "Summer Crown - 2015" and a regional project to promote reading and leisure population "Read, Province" the Palace of books presented at the site in front of the new building of the library a book-illustrative exhibition "State symbols of Russia".

The exhibition, timed to the Day of the State Flag of the Russian Federation, presented books and illustrative materials on the history of the Russian flag and other state symbols. Also it is presented a multimedia local lore guide "Simbirsk land" which helps to understand the evolution of the heraldic symbols of Simbirsk and the Ulyanovsk region.

August 23 at the Palace of the book is opened a book exhibition "Contemporaries of war". The exposition is dedicated to publications released between 1941 and 1945. The exhibition presents books of various subjects, magazines and newspapers.
