Memory of Russia: The IX festival of historical clubs “Military field” in the Moscow region

The IX Festival of historical clubs "Militry field" is held on August 22-23, 2015 in the Park of Drakino of the Serpukhov district of the Moscow region.

The aim of the festival is to promote the historical heritage of ancient Russia, preserving the continuity of generations, the popularization of history, culture and ancient martial traditions, promotion of historical reconstruction as a form of youth leisure activities, exchange of experiences and knowledge between the clubs, and family development of family tourism.

The festival "Military field" gathers together historical reconstruction clubs, recreating the early Middle Ages, ethnographic, folk and Cossack groups, artisans from the cities of Russia, CIS and foreign countries.

During the festival, visitors will be able to see daily lives of our ancestors and to get in touch with the reflection of a bygone era. On the lists of participants of the festival will be held a parade and a large-scale reconstruction of the historic battle involving warriors, archers and horsemen. On the site "Street artists" folk artists hold for all comers master classes, revealing the secrets of their craft. On the site "Cossack village" viewers will see the life of the Cossacks 14-15 centuries, who will demonstrate their skills in the military equestrian stunt show. On the folk site will be held performances of ethnographic and folk ensembles, master classes in folk games and dances.
