The Year of Literature in Russia 2015: V All-Russian summer school for the teachers of Russian language and literature “Reading Chekhov” in the Moscow Region

August 20-24, 2015, the Year of Literature and the 155th anniversary of birth of Anton Chekhov, the Museum-Reserve "Melikhovo" (Moscow region) is holding the V All-Russian scientific-practical summer school for teachers of Russian language and literature "Reading Chekhov."

Summer school "Reading Chekhov" is a special form of communication and interaction of philologists-literary critics and practicing teachers.

The school "Reading Chekhov" presents relevant issues of studying the biography and poetics of the writer, methodology of literary and linguistic analysis of Chekhov's works.

The workshops deal with specific aspects of teaching the writer's biography, the way of analysing the poetics of prose and plays of the writer, above all using the example of Chekhov's works from the curriculum.

The school is attended by leading researchers of the life and work of Anton Chekhov, professors of leading universities of Russia having experience in working in high school or those, who are constantly interacting with it.

The program of the Summer School - 2015 includes lectures and seminars, offering a comprehensive analysis of Chekhov's plays.

In 2015, the school is attended by the teachers of Russian language and literature from the Moscow Region, the Republic of Tatarstan and Tyumen region.
