Society and Book Culture: "The Volga Reading" International Festival in Cheboksary

The Volga Reading Festival takes place in the alley near the National Library of the Chuvash Republic on the 546th anniversary of the founding of the city of Cheboksary, combining exhibitions and performances, interactive play areas and workshops.

The festival is divided into several thematic areas. For instance, an exhibition and a book fair will be going on at the site of Chuvash Publishing House. The "Narspi" audiobook presentation and reading of the works of Konstantin Ivanov will be held at the arena of the Year of Konstantin Ivanov on Chuvash Republic. To get familiar with new books and participate in workshops and autograph sessions of writers and poets will be offered at the site of the Union of Writers of the Chuvash Republic.

Teems of editors of Tantash, Tette and other magazines with their game competition programs will be located at the site of the journalists of Chuvash Republic. Guests of the festival will get a chance to visit the sites of the Volga peoples, Russian Culture, and a site dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory.

Extraordinary literary activities are also waiting for the festival guests.
