Information technology and libraries: Mobile library in the form of a bench in Chelyabinsk

In Chelyabinsk, in the Pushkin city park, there was appeared a bench, which not only looks like an open book, but an entire electronic library. Smartphone or tablet will help in reading works.

In total, the "shelves" of unusual benches contain 150 different books. All of them are encrypted for QR-codes that can recognize modern smart phone or tablet. Thus the project was a continuation of "Mobile Library", which is held in conjunction with the Library System of the city with the support of the Department of Culture.

Also in the Pushkin City Garden there are virtual bookshelves. They appeared in Chelyabinsk last year.
