Memorable dates of Russia: The exhibition, dedicated to the 217th birth anniversary of Anton Delvig, in Saint-Petersburg

August 5, 2015 at the G. R. Derzhavin Museum-Estate (St. Petersburg) opens an exhibition dedicated to 217th birth anniversary of the next Lyceum friend of A. S. Pushkin Anton Delvig - poet, publisher of the anthology "Northern Flowers" and "Literary Gazette". "Friend Delvig, my Parnassian brother", "My brother by blood, by soul", - so Pushkin addressed to Delvig.

The exhibition, called Pushkin's phrase, "He was the best of us", presents portraits of Delvig (including lifetime portrait of V. P. Langer), views of St. Petersburg, illustrations artists of the XX century, the anthology "Northern Flowers" (1825-1831), the first edition of the messages of Delvig to friends, the only lifetime collections of his poems (1829).

The media library presents prints and media resources of the museum dedicated to the history and traditions of a unique educational institution - Imperial Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum. Visitors will be able to take advantage of specialized programs for viewing rare books, "browse" and read the publication of the first quarter of the XIX century. "Lyceum Encyclopedia" and monographs, collections of articles and materials of scientific conferences, guides and catalogs, popular science film tells the story of the "Pushkin" release of the person (the first and the most brilliant), Lyceum friendship, learning and living in a wonderful place - Tsarskoye Selo, the fate of the high school students about the modern life of the Memorial Museum of the Lyceum.

The exhibition within the framework of the project "Literary Calendar" is open to visitors until 13 September 2015.
