Society and culture: The exhibition “How to restore the monument” in Moscow

September 30, 2015 in the Apothecary order of the Shchusev Museum of Architecture (Moscow) will be held the opening ceremony of the exhibition "How to restore the monument. Strategy of AUIPIK".

In 2000, to address the conservation of monuments of history and culture of the order of the Ministry of Culture of Russia and the Ministry of Property Relations Agency was established to manage the monuments of history and culture (FGBUK AUIPIK). Today, in his charge - more than 200 objects of cultural heritage federally owned.

The objective of the exhibition at the Museum of Architecture is the designation of Agency policies on the example of the five specific sites of different periods, located in different cities of Russia.

Visitors will learn the history of Moscow Chamber of the XVII-XIX centuries in Arkhangelsk lane, and the House of Penchenko and Solodezhni recognized masterpieces of Pskov civil architecture of the XVII century; 1848-1855 imperial stables work by famous architect N. L. Benois; Gostiny Dvor beginning of the XIX century in the Volga city of the Saratov region in Volsk and houses for young people and small families in Yekaterinburg. The exposition reveals the history of each of these five objects with archival materials, drawings, photographs, objects of decorative art.

The exposition "How to restore the monument" demonstrates not only the cut of the Agency's activities and its working methods: research, restoration and adaptation projects. For the public the exhibition will be open from 1 October to 4 November.
