Museums of the world: International conference of the committee of literary museums and museums of composers in Tbilisi

The P. I. Tchaikovsky State Memorial Musical Museum-Preserve takes part in the annual International Conference of the International Committee of the literary museums and museums of composers (IKLM, ICOM-UNESCO), which takes place in Tbilisi (Georgia) from 24 to 30 September 2015. Specialists of the P. I. Tchaikovsky Museum-Reserve will present at the conference their reports and presentations, as well as present an exhibition prepared for the 175th anniversary of the birth of P. I. Tchaikovsky.

The conference, which main theme is "Literature, music and cultural heritage", is held at the National Museum of Georgia and the G. Leonidze State Museum of Georgian Literature. Meetings are also held at the National Gallery, the House Smirnov (the Pushkin Memorial), the State Museum of theater, music, cinema and choreography, the State museum of folk art and musical instruments. Also will be held visiting session in Kakheti in the State Museum-Estate of Alexander Chavchavadze, whose name is associated with both the Georgian and the Russian literature.

The conference is attended by representatives of museums of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Canada, Georgia, Germany, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Russia, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Sweden.
