Internet and culture: Online readings “Chekhov alive”

The International project "Chekhov alive" starts on September 25, 2015. Its launch is scheduled at noon. It finishes the next day at the same time. All this time will go online dramatized readings, dedicated to the works of the great Russian writer and playwright. These participants will be several hundred people from all over the world. Among these famous people - popular artists, musicians, famous athletes, and public figures. On-line they will read fragments of about fifty works of Chekhov. Preparation for the action has lasted for several months. Applications for participation was applied by several thousand people.

The most famous monologues will be performed not only in Russian, but also in German and English. They will be performed at the Harvard University, the Museum of Chekhov in Badenweiler, Germany, in a bookstore Waterstouns in the British capital.

Russian readers, including students of the Moscow Art Theater School, will participate in the three literary flash mobs.
