Information technology and culture: The XIV International Scientific and Practical Conference “Electronic Age of Culture” in Nizhny Novgorod

The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Russian State Library and the Russian Association of Electronic Libraries from 14 to 18 September 2015 in the city of Nizhny Novgorod held the Fourteenth International scientific-practical conference "Electronic Age of Culture".

The main theme of the conference: "National Electronic Library".

The main directions of the event has traditionally been: identification and discussion of specific areas of information agencies of various branches of culture (libraries, museums, theaters, schools, etc.), research, education and leading IT-companies; preservation of cultural heritage and providing wider access to it; familiarity with the latest developments in the field of computer and information technologies (creation of electronic resources in general and in particular, digital libraries, search and storage).

As part of the conference "Electronic Age of Culture" took place its annual scientific conference of the Russian Association of Electronic Libraries.
