Memory of Russia: The monument to Dmitry Donskoy opened in Tula

Monument to the Grand Duke of Moscow and Vladimir Dmitry Donskoy was opened on September 21, 2015 in the Tula Kremlin in celebration of the 635th anniversary of the Battle of Kulikovo.

The monument was erected near the bell tower of the Cathedral of the Assumption, where the lower tier of the temple was opened in the name of the Holy Blessed Grand Prince Dmitry Donskoy and his wife Euphrosyne.

The monument to D. Donskoy was created by sculptor with a worldwide reputation, the national artist of Russia Alexander Burganov.
