International initiatives: The IV European Student Festival “Friends, our union is perfect!” in Bulgaria

From 21 to 26 September 2015 the Russkiy Mir Foundation and "Sustainable Development of Bulgaria" with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Bulgaria is carried out the IV European Student Festival "Friends, our union is perfect!".

The name of the festival were given by Pushkin's famous lines written by the poet in 1825 as an appeal to fellow schoolmates at Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum.

The festival is held in one of the most scenic spots of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast - the unique natural environment, health and recreation complex "Kamchia", located near Varna.

It brought together 30 teams from European universities. Nearly 300 people from Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Georgia, Italy, Latvia, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, the Czech Republic.

The festival program includes competitions, quizzes, presentations, workshops, poetry and musical evenings with performances of amateur groups, excursions, discos, and parade through the streets of Varna.

Each day of the festival has its own thematic focus. One will be devoted to Russian literature: the literary and poetic composition prepared by the students to continue the quiz "I know Russian literature" and a contest for connoisseurs of drama. Another will be held under the motto "No one is forgotten, nothing is forgotten" dedicated to the anniversary date of the vocal contest "Song of the Great Victory".

"Live and learn!" - the motto of the next day, devoted to methodological work. It will be filled with lectures and master classes of Russian teachers, workshops for team leaders on the modern methods of teaching Russian language and presentations of educational software products discussions.

An important event of the festival will be the opening of the complex "Kamchia" of the international educational center "Russian world". For the fourth time in Bulgaria the Russian center opens on September 21 the educational center of Y. Gagarin.
