World culture: The exhibition “Old masters of the Netherlands. Antwerp painters of the XVI-XVII centuries” opened in Smolensk

September 9, 2015 the Cultural and Exhibition Center of Tenishevs (Smolensk) hosted the opening of the exhibition “Old painters of the Netherlands. Antwerp painters of the XVI-XVII centuries”.

The exhibition features fifty canvases of artists among which are: Jan Brueghel the Elder, Pieter Brueghel the Younger, Pieter Paul Rubens, Gillis Mostaet the Elder and others.

The fact of exposing the world-famous Dutch paintings in Smolensk is a unique event. All the works are part of the collection of the artist, an experienced collector, art historian Vasily Grigorievich Goryaschenko.

The exhibition will run until December 6, 2015.
